About Equipments Section

Director (Equipments) is heading the Equipments Section. The section ensures that the Equipments of procurements are made following a uniform, systematic, efficient and cost-effective procedure in accordance with the relevant statutory rules and regulations of the Government. Ensures procurement of sound equipment with long term annual maintenance contracts to ensure healthy working of equipment throughout till end of life of equipment.

Performs cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking, reviews proposals received at State Need Assessment Committee (SNAC-E). Forecasts price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power. Plays key role in negotiating the contracts and formulating policies with suppliers Determines quantity and timing of deliveries, Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
